Newspaper
Football for many is portrayed upon us via the media. Whether it's
sports magazines, televisions programs, the radio or the tabloids.
The press and professional determine how we perceive football as
an audience. The newspaper here at Soccer All Stars is the first
place to publish all the big news stories as they happen as well
as generating it's own amount of fuss throughout the league through
exaggerated or inaccurate articles.
SAS
SET TO RESUME
THE
MOST FAMOUS FOOTBALL LEAGUE IN THE WORLD IS ON THE MEND
The five new board members,
Consisting of Screamking, Kevin Porter, David Cartledge, Jamie Newell
and Pat McEvoy, Have been working around the clock during the past
week and have now taken great strides towards re opening the league.
The best news of all
though for the new Executive board is seeing many ex SAS managers
return in droves, Three have already rejoined the league and with
many more also interested in a return it seems that the new board
have the full support of the SAS community.
After only two weeks
at the helm the new board have already updated much of the site,
regained the confidence of the managers and are confident they are
almost ready to once again make SAS the greatest league in the world.
"It's been a very hectic
week for us" said new Public Relations Executive Kevin Porter yesterday.
"We had a lot of work to do to update the site but with hard work
from a good team we believe we are almost there."
The news will come as
a great relief to the SAS community who had at one point feared
the closure of the league, But with the new board in tact and working
together as a team it seems that they are very close to restarting
the popular league.
Porter added " On behalf
of the rest of the board I would like to thank the managers for
their support and patience during this difficult time, We were overwhelmed
with the support we received and believe me it is very much appreciated.
It may take a while for us to have the league running as smoothly
as it did in season 1/S1 but we are all confident that this will
be achieved in time. We are all committed to running the SAS league
and we hope that we can once again build it up to what it once was
and make it a very enjoyable experience for the managers and board
alike."
No date has been set for
when the league is likely to restart but sources around the SAS
community believe it will be within the next couple of weeks.
THOMMO
& CARFTON ARE BACK
HIGHLY TALENTED
MANAGERS FLOCK BACK TO SAS
Brian Thompson and Joe
Carfton both returned to SAS in a dramatic turn of events yesterday.
Only weeks after both men quit SAS over the poor running of the
league they have now made dramatic U turns, But in another sensational
twist they have swapped clubs. Thompson returns to manage first
division leaders Coventry City, Whilst City's ex manager Joe Carfton
joins Spurs. The dramatic twist of events is sure to shock and excite
the SAS community as two of the best managers ever to have set foot
in SAS return.
Thompson has arguably been SAS's most successful manager in the last two season's and
it will be interesting to see whether he can deliver the same success
at Coventry as he did with Spurs. Carfton, Who has built Coventry
into one of the most skilful and talented sides in SAS will now
have the task of trying to maintain Tottenham's successes on the
pitch. Ex Tottenham manager Buck Hysen resigned last week, Hysen,
Another manager who quit due to the poor running of the league is
now one of the favourites to take over the England job vacated by
Alain Borl only a few days ago.
This merry go round of
managers is sure to add some exciting times for the future of SAS
and it is a massive boost to the new SAS board.
Thompson and Carfton
have already proved that they can manage at the highest level, Now
they have to prove they can do it all over again.
Rumours have also surfaced
within the past couple of days that ex managers Paul Hendrie and
Sigfried Moeri are also set to return to the SAS scene, Although
Moeri is unlikely to return as a manager.
With so many ex managers
coming back to SAS it can only signal good times ahead for the once
doomed league.
